River Road Homes on Larger Lots

Fruit Cove runs along State Road 13 on the east bank of the St Johns in northern St Johns County, where lots are larger and homes sit further back from the road than they do in the planned communities inland.

The housing is a genuine mix, from older river-facing homes to newer custom builds on acreage, so the bathrooms vary as well. Some have been added to or reworked over the years and hide plumbing that does not match the original drawings. Others are newer with layouts that work fine and surfaces that have simply worn. Being close to the river also keeps humidity high, which makes ventilation and moisture-tolerant materials worth planning properly. If you would rather compare approaches first, our Jacksonville bathroom remodeling page lays them out.

We serve Fruit Cove along State Road 13 and the surrounding roads down to Switzerland. We also cover Julington Creek, Mandarin and St Johns. Wherever you are, you get a written quote for your specific bathroom and the scope you approve.

Bathroom and Shower Work We Do in Fruit Cove

What we install: bathtub replacement and tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in showers, and complete remodels. Where a bathroom has been added to over the years, we check accessible plumbing at the consultation and explain what we find. If concealed problems appear during installation, we discuss the additional work and cost with you before proceeding.

Remodeling a bathroom in Fruit Cove

Water supply in Fruit Cove

Fruit Cove sits inside the St. Johns County Utility Department service area. Treated public water means grout and glass are not fighting hardness or iron the way they do on a well, so the choice between tile and a panel system in Fruit Cove comes down to look, budget and how much routine cleaning you are prepared to do.

What the houses are like

Slab-built housing is the norm in Fruit Cove. You get the most visible improvement per dollar by working inside the existing footprint, which on these homes means a new shower system, new surfaces, better light and better storage rather than a new floor plan.

Where we would start

Price a layout change against simply improving the room where it stands before committing. On a slab the first option carries real concrete work and the second does not.

Access and scheduling

Access in Fruit Cove is generally straightforward. The detail that matters more is whether the bathroom is upstairs, since a tight stair adds real time to getting materials in and debris out.

Permits

Expect a permit for anything that moves or alters plumbing in St. Johns County. Keeping fixtures on their existing connections does not automatically mean no permit is needed, so we check rather than assume, and you can verify with the St. Johns County building department.

Shining Feedback from Our Valued Customers

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are so appreciative for the craftsmanship, knowledge in their field and care they put into all of the details during our Master Bath remodel. They were hard working, punctual, respectful and caring. They were a joy to have working in our home. The camaraderie between Chris and Christian on the job site was fun to listen to. We fired the 1st company hired to do our remodeling due to lack of craftsmanship and communication on the 1st shower. Frontline did not disappoint, Christian would usually respond to a text within minutes. These 2 came to bid the job, and arrived to do the work. So rare these days to not have a 3rd party coming into your home blind and oblivious to your needs and wants. Thank you guys, much success on all of your endeavors. We will pass your name and number to anyone interested in bath remodels❗️❗️

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently completed a bathroom remodel and couldn’t be happier with the results. The workmanship was excellent, the materials were high quality, and every detail was handled with care. The team was professional, punctual, and respectful of our home throughout the process. The project was completed on time, and the finished bathroom looks beautiful, modern, and functional. We would highly recommend them to anyone considering a bathroom renovation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Frontline Home Interiors is the definition of craftsmanship, integrity, and dedication. From the very beginning, it was clear that this isn’t just a job to them, it’s a standard they take personal pride in upholding. What impressed me most was their work ethic. Every detail mattered. They didn’t rush. They didn’t cut corners. They approached the project with a level of care and precision that you rarely see anymore. You could tell they genuinely care about the outcome, not just finishing the job. If something wasn’t perfect, they fixed it without hesitation. If there was a way to improve something, they did it even when it required extra time and effort. Their dedication shows in the small things: the clean lines, the flawless finishes, the way everything is aligned and balanced. They treated my home like it was their own. The pride they take in their work is obvious, and that pride translates directly into quality. Communication was consistent and honest throughout the process. They were transparent about timelines, respectful of my space, and committed to making sure I was completely satisfied before considering the project complete. That level of accountability is rare. Frontline Home Interiors doesn’t just deliver results they deliver excellence through discipline, precision, and genuine care for their craft. If you want a company that stands behind their work and puts their name on it with pride, this is the team you call.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We first found Chris on Thumbtack and So Glad we did as we bought a condo in Hilton Head and it needed HELP. CHRIS WAS THE MAN FOR THE JOB as he and team worked tirelessly to transform a 1.5 jack and Jill bathroom set into 2 full bathrooms complete with tile. He was great as he fit us in when other jobs he was working on had delays and also worked many weekends. We also utilized his skills to help build out a closet in another part of the condo. Mind you he did this while just meeting us on the phone while he was in HH and we were out of state. He also played well with other as we needed our electrician to assist with some old incorrect wiring. Just can’t recommend him enough (although my wife feels like she is a better painter) that said she is a great painter. Altogether he was on time on budget and super flexible. We love him and fully recommend him and his team!!!!

Why Fruit Cove Homeowners Choose Frontline

We install bathrooms and nothing else. That focus is why we can talk through humidity, ventilation and material choice alongside the layout, and why the plan and the timeline are agreed before work starts.

Frequently asked questions

Who pulls the permit for bathroom work in Fruit Cove?

Ask any contractor this before you sign, and get the answer in writing. In St. Johns County, plumbing changes and relocations generally require a permit. We will tell you what your Fruit Cove project needs, and you can confirm the requirement directly with the St. Johns County building department.

What gives the best result in a Fruit Cove bathroom for the money?

Working inside the existing footprint. On slab-built Fruit Cove housing you get more visible improvement per dollar upgrading what is already in the room, a new shower system, surfaces, lighting and storage, than you do rearranging where things sit.

Can we stay in the house during the work?

Most households do. It works better when the washing arrangements and showering plan are set up before the work starts rather than improvised on the first morning, particularly if the house has only one bathroom.

Do you serve Fruit Cove?

Yes. Fruit Cove sits inside our St. Johns County service area, and we also work across St. Augustine, Nocatee, Ponte Vedra Beach and World Golf Village. Bathroom remodeling is all we do, so the visit is a technical look at your room rather than a sales call.

How is the price for a Fruit Cove bathroom worked out?

Every bathroom is quoted after we have seen it. You get a written quote for your specific room and the scope you approve, before any work begins, and the consultation costs nothing. A range given over the phone can be useful for orientation, but it is not the same thing as a quote.
