Fast-Growing Communities, Bathrooms Coming Due
St Johns has been one of the fastest-growing parts of northeast Florida, and the communities along County Road 210 and State Road 13 were built out quickly, in phases, with a limited set of plans repeated across each neighborhood.
The early phases have now reached the point where original fixtures are showing it. Typically that is a primary bath with a garden tub and a compact shower, a secondary bath with a fiberglass tub and surround, and pan or grout seals that have started to fail. The floor plans are still good, so the value is in replacing production materials with ones that will not need doing again soon. You can see how this fits the wider picture on our bathroom remodeling in Jacksonville page.
We serve St Johns across the County Road 210 corridor and the communities off State Road 13 and Longleaf Pine Parkway. We also cover Julington Creek, Fruit Cove and Nocatee. Wherever you are, you get a written quote for your specific bathroom and the scope you approve.

Remodeling a bathroom in St. Johns
Water supply in St. Johns
St. Johns sits inside the St. Johns County Utility Department service area. Treated public water means grout and glass are not fighting hardness or iron the way they do on a well, so the choice between tile and a panel system in St. Johns comes down to look, budget and how much routine cleaning you are prepared to do.
What the houses are like
Newer slab-built housing dominates St. Johns. That puts a firm boundary around layout changes, since moving a fixture means cutting and repairing the slab, and it puts no boundary at all around surfaces, shower systems, lighting and storage.
Where we would start
Decide whether this is a refresh or a rethink before you price anything. A refresh inside the existing footprint is quick and predictable in these homes. A rethink means the slab, and that is a different project with a different timeline.
Access and scheduling
Most St. Johns communities have an HOA, and some want notice before work starts or have rules about where a dumpster can sit. We check that with you rather than leaving it to the first morning.
Permits
Plumbing changes and relocations in St. Johns County generally require a permit. We will tell you what your project needs and you can confirm it directly with the St. Johns County building department.

We are so appreciative for the craftsmanship, knowledge in their field and care they put into all of the details during our Master Bath remodel. They were hard working, punctual, respectful and caring. They were a joy to have working in our home. The camaraderie between Chris and Christian on the job site was fun to listen to. We fired the 1st company hired to do our remodeling due to lack of craftsmanship and communication on the 1st shower. Frontline did not disappoint, Christian would usually respond to a text within minutes. These 2 came to bid the job, and arrived to do the work. So rare these days to not have a 3rd party coming into your home blind and oblivious to your needs and wants. Thank you guys, much success on all of your endeavors. We will pass your name and number to anyone interested in bath remodels❗️❗️Posted on Google![]()

We recently completed a bathroom remodel and couldn’t be happier with the results. The workmanship was excellent, the materials were high quality, and every detail was handled with care. The team was professional, punctual, and respectful of our home throughout the process. The project was completed on time, and the finished bathroom looks beautiful, modern, and functional. We would highly recommend them to anyone considering a bathroom renovation.Posted on Google![]()

Frontline Home Interiors is the definition of craftsmanship, integrity, and dedication. From the very beginning, it was clear that this isn’t just a job to them, it’s a standard they take personal pride in upholding. What impressed me most was their work ethic. Every detail mattered. They didn’t rush. They didn’t cut corners. They approached the project with a level of care and precision that you rarely see anymore. You could tell they genuinely care about the outcome, not just finishing the job. If something wasn’t perfect, they fixed it without hesitation. If there was a way to improve something, they did it even when it required extra time and effort. Their dedication shows in the small things: the clean lines, the flawless finishes, the way everything is aligned and balanced. They treated my home like it was their own. The pride they take in their work is obvious, and that pride translates directly into quality. Communication was consistent and honest throughout the process. They were transparent about timelines, respectful of my space, and committed to making sure I was completely satisfied before considering the project complete. That level of accountability is rare. Frontline Home Interiors doesn’t just deliver results they deliver excellence through discipline, precision, and genuine care for their craft. If you want a company that stands behind their work and puts their name on it with pride, this is the team you call.Posted on Google![]()

We first found Chris on Thumbtack and So Glad we did as we bought a condo in Hilton Head and it needed HELP. CHRIS WAS THE MAN FOR THE JOB as he and team worked tirelessly to transform a 1.5 jack and Jill bathroom set into 2 full bathrooms complete with tile. He was great as he fit us in when other jobs he was working on had delays and also worked many weekends. We also utilized his skills to help build out a closet in another part of the condo. Mind you he did this while just meeting us on the phone while he was in HH and we were out of state. He also played well with other as we needed our electrician to assist with some old incorrect wiring. Just can’t recommend him enough (although my wife feels like she is a better painter) that said she is a great painter. Altogether he was on time on budget and super flexible. We love him and fully recommend him and his team!!!!Posted on Google![]()

Frequently asked questions
Does a shower replacement in St. Johns need a permit?
Often it does, and it is worth checking rather than assuming either way. St. Johns County generally requires a permit for plumbing changes and relocations. A replacement that stays on the existing connections may still involve permitted work depending on what is altered, so confirm your specific St. Johns project with the St. Johns County building department.
Can the bathroom layout be changed in a newer St. Johns home?
Usually it can, but it is worth knowing the cost first. Most newer housing around St. Johns is built on a concrete slab with drain lines beneath it, so moving a fixture means cutting the concrete, re-running the pipe and repairing the slab. Keeping fixtures on their existing connections has the fewest unknowns.
How long will the bathroom be out of use?
It depends on scope. A shower or tub replacement inside the existing footprint is the shortest version, a full room remodel is longer, and moving fixtures longer again. The number worth asking any contractor for is not the total project length but how many days the room is completely unusable.
Do you serve St. Johns?
Yes. The St. Johns community is right inside our home county, and we also work across St. Augustine, Nocatee, Fruit Cove and Ponte Vedra Beach. Bathroom remodeling is all we do, so the visit is a technical look at your room rather than a sales call.
Can I see the scope in writing before committing?
Yes, and you should insist on it with any contractor. You get a written quote describing your specific room and the scope you approve before any work begins. Verbal agreement about scope is where most disputes start.
